SMH Outpatient Services

O U T P A T I E N T   S E R V I C E S

Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital hosts a fully staffed Outpatient Department performing greater than 2000 procedures annually. Our nursing team is certified in Diabetic Education, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Chemotherapy, PICC line insertion and Conscious Sedation - in which they must pass a rigorous airway and sedation course.  Our nurses provide expert care with compassion and respect in a friendly, cheerful and energetic environment. 

Services Provided include:

• Blood Transfusions

• Chemotherapy

• Other Infusions Such as: Osteoarthritis therapies,   Antibiotic therapies
• Immuno-suppressive therapies

• Endoscopy

• Diabetic Education, this is an ADA (American Diabetic Association) recognized and State certified program provided by CDE’s (Certified Diabetic Educators)

Also available:

• CGMS (Continuous Glucose Monitoring System)

• Monthly Diabetic Support Group

• Pre-Diabetic teaching

• Individual and Group Diabetic Education

• Insulin Pump Therapy

• EEGs

• Pre-op and Post-op care for ambulatory and inpatient surgicals

• PICC line insertions and care of  many types of ports

• Other minor nursing services

• Such as: 

• Injections

• Dressing changes

• Bladder Instillations

• Catheter insertions and changes

Types of Surgeries include:

• General 

• Orthopedic 

• Ophthalmology 

• GYN

• Podiatry
